iHealth Saunas are manufactured for both commercial and domestic use, and only quality fittings and materials are used in production. Our entire range is covered by a Lifetime Heater Warranty and a Five Year Cabinet and Electrical Warranty, this covers both commercial and domestic use.
Cabinets
iHealth saunas are manufactured from Canadian Hemlock Spruce timber, which is hypoallergenic and resin free. Our saunas are manufactured in a furniture factory with experienced timber workers. The timber is kiln dried for 45 days (which no other manufacturer does), therefore ensuring there will be no cracking and splitting that is associated with other sauna manufacturers.
Some sauna manufacturers use western red cedar which contains a resin called Cedrine oil, to which certain people have a chemical sensitivity.
Most of the saunas available on the market today are manufactured by basic Chinese sauna manufacturers. The difference with our saunas is they are manufactured by a quality furniture manufacturer. The timber is of the highest quality and has been kiln dried for 45 days, which greatly reduces the occurrence of warping and splitting (see iHealth Sauna Construction for more detailed information).
The majority of infrared saunas on the market use metal clips to fasten the sauna walls, therefore the timber panels are all butt joined around the sides. The problem with this method (which we have used in the past), is that the tiny screws that secure the metal clips, are prone to popping out after 6 to 12 months of use. iHealth use an interlock construction using our unique heavy duty solid brass fittings (see our brochure, inside front cover).
iHealth have been in the sauna industry for 20 years and pioneered the introduction of far infrared saunas in Australia. We believe that our iHealth sauna range is second to none, and without doubt, does not have the cracking and splitting that the other Chinese manufacturers incur over time.
Far Far infrared Heaters
The 6-14u long far infrared heat rays are the most beneficial to the human body. This is why the far infrared elements in an iHealth far infrared Sauna operate in this frequency range.
Ultra Tech High Performance Carbon Fibre Heaters:
iHealth Saunas feature the latest Ultra Tech Carbon Fibre Heater technology, which uses less power but at the same time provides more effective heating than the traditional style of saunas. The Large Ultra Tech high Performance Carbon Fibre Heater panels, coupled with the movable Pure Wave Ceramic heaters distribute heat evenly within the sauna.
PURE WAVE Ceramic Heaters:
Comprising of a concave shaped heater with multiple half round ridges, this heater design emits a concentrated band of far infrared across a wide arch. The end result is a heater design that outputs far infrared that is comparable to having 6 rod heaters side by side.
The 2 movable ceramic PURE WAVE heaters are situated in the front of the cabin and can be moved around within the cabin to any position required. The advantage is that you can target and remedy specific problem areas of the body. The freestanding heaters are great if you have any knee problems. This feature is unique to the iHealth sauna.
Control Panels
Most manufacturers use a control panel that is very basic and with limited functions. The iHealth control panel is an internally mounted state of the art control panel, with an auto function feature whereby you can pre-set the sauna over the following 24 hour period.
CD Stereo
Most sauna suppliers use a generic CD stereo system and give a 1 year warranty. iHealth use a high quality JVC stereo which has a CD player, AM/FM radio and is MP3 compatible, with a remote control. We offer a 2 year warranty on the stereo.
